Europa Cafe

by Timothy Post on 2008/07/26

It’s a rainy Saturday morning and I’m killing some time while my wife gets her nails done. I’m sitting in the Europa Cafe on Severnaya Street drinking some coffee and writing this blog post.

Europa Cafe is one of the best places in Krasnodar to have a business meeting. The location is very convenient to the center of Krasnodar and perhaps most importantly, there’s a parking lot just meters from the front entrance.

The cafe is in the lobby of the Europa Casino and hotel. By the way, the hotel is also a great place for out of towners to stay. It’s not really that cheap at $300 per night but it is clean and convenient.

I like Europa Cafe, in particular, because it’s walking distance to my office and so I’ll often schedule meetings here with people I’m meeting for the first time.

The cafe itself has good coffee and food and if you’re so inclined you get order drinks from the bar. It’s also open 24 hours a day since it’s within the casino complex.

So next time you’re in Krasnodar and looking for a place to meet checkout the Europa Cafe.

The website is www.europe.su The address is 319 Severnaya Street close to the intersection of Severnaya and Levanevskogo Streets. The telephone is +7-861-251-7761.

  • $300 a night. Yikes. So much for my budget vacation in Krasnodar. Then again, I do speak Russian so maybe I could stray from the main drag and find something comfy, and lively, that's a little more affordable.
  • Bob, Try the Igab Hotel. It's a couple blocks further down on Severnaya but you can get a room for about 3,000 RUR or approximately $150 per night. Nice place. I put our architects there for 2 nights this Summer and they were satisfied. The phone number for the hotel is +7-861-274-6069.

As I am native Krasnodar resident I think Europa Hotel is one of the top Krasnodar hotels, and probably most expensive one. Its location seemed to be convenient, but massive traffic jams on Severnaya st., its noise and cars exhaustings don't make you feel as you are in Boston Common or at Fenway Park , isn't it Tomothy?

    Victor, Krasnodar.
  • Hi, Tim,
haven't looked for a while into your blog. Interesting reading. Well, our plans to visit Krasnodar and the area (Gelendjick) didn't get well along with some other plans, so we discarded them.

However, I hope we'll get a chance to have a cup of coffee with you in the Europa Cafe one day :) A question: do they do something to alleviate the shortage of 'budget places' for staying in the city and the area?

How about the coming up Olympics, - aren't they going to be the Olympics for 'most reach people on the planet? :)
  • $300 a night is too expensive. There are lots of cheaper hotels in the area
