  • Dear Timothy,

    I don't want to be a spoilsport, but I am still concerned about what the games might mean to Russia. The historical record of soviet sports isn't that good as far as societal effects go, so despite the fact that I'm happy for Sochi's sake, I worry about how Russia might exploit the games.
