I listen to a lot of podcasts and invariably the hosts will say during a show, “Check the show notes for a link to this website.”
One of he podcasts I listen to, Mac Nu Podcast, has done something pretty cool. They put those links, listed in their shownotes, up on del.icio.us. I just went to their del.icio.us page and subscribed to it using the del.icio.us RSS feature.
So now, when I’m driving down the road listening to the Mac Nu Podcast and they say, “Check the shownotes” I don’t have to fumble for a pen and write the name of the website on the side of my Starbucks coffee cup. Instead, I know that when I read through my daily feeds in my Google Reader the link in question will be there. I can then press the V key, open the website, and then click my Cocoalicious browser bookmarklet and save it to my desktop and keyword it with “readlater.”
I wish more podcasts used del.ico.us in this way.
