Deyvushkee, Start your Modems

The company Stream-TV (owned by Sistema) has unveiled plans to build a fiber optic backbone network in Krasnodar. By mid-2008, the company will bring Internet connections to all densely populated districts of Krasnodar (southern Russia) with up to 200,000 apartments.
The network will provide triple-play services. Its bandwidth will be 1 gigabit per second and will be increased if necessary. By the end of 2007 the company expects to connect over 120,000 apartments. Apart from Internet access, subscribers will be offered 60 cable television channels.
